There are those who speak of a man, bred from the worlds most deadly criminals; raised by an exile brotherhood of the church. His purpose to rid the world of the evil that infects it. Most believe his very existence is a sin, but others know that he is a necessary evil.
Probably one of the best games I have ever played. Right from the first installment, “Code name 47” till the latest one “Blood Money”; I have played all of the 4 versions of the game. I am very choosy in the games that I play, but what started off as a “Let me try this out” game eventually made me a follower of it. The game revolves around Agent 47, a highly acclaimed assassin. The games feature a mix of orchestral and electronica musical scores, composed by Jesper Kyd. Probably the best by far for any game.
Generally the kinda games that my friends play are more of a shooter were in we need just blindly shoot. You have health packs, latest weapons, and ammunition packs. The more you kill the more the points you get. But in case of Hitman, the more the noise, the lesser the rewards, which means you need to take out only the target and not any body else and in the process you shouldn’t raise any alarm. The highest rating that is provided in the game is that of Silent Assassin, and in order to achieve the same in most levels we shouldn’t even fire a sigle shot. The focus of Hitman is not hiding in the shadows from the enemy, but rather blending in amongst them and taking the target out.
And now and on screen adaptation of the game, has hit the theatres all over the world. Timothy Olyphant perfectly fitted the role of Agent 47. The movie was great but the only disappointment for me was that there were a lot of cuts in the movie, screened in India. I just hate it. I accept that viewer discretion is advised, but cuts are really annoying. Another disappointment for me was that they had picturized hitman more as an executioner. But after playing the game and achieving a very high stealth rating, this movie was a lot bloody. On the whole, I enjoy playing the game and the movie as well.
